Students learn about alternative to mainstream medicine

Some people who are tired of battling colds and flu with trips to the doctor's office rely instead on homeopathic products.

For people who are interested in learning more about the alternative health practice, Homeopathy Level 1 is a three-hour class designed to decode the mysteries.

Teacher Shelley McQuerter said students will leave with an understanding of the fundamentals and a notebook to reference at home.

She has seen the results of homeopathy in her own life. When she was pregnant she contracted Lyme disease, and she said she was not able to take tetracycline, which is often prescribed to treat the illness. She tried homeopathy, with successful results. This sparked her interest in the field and inspired her to promote homeopathy. [Homeopathy in the News]
